2025 Adult Literacy for Life Collaboration and Innovation Fund
|
The Adult Literacy for Life (ALL) Programme Office has opened its call for applications for the €1 million Collaboration and Innovation Fund 2025.
As adults we use our literacy skills all the time:
⏰ Setting the alarm clock,
Going to GAA matches,
Filling in a car tax form,
✉️ Sending a WhatsApp message or a birthday card,
Reading the newspaper, RIP.ie or a bedtime story.
Many of these skills are new literacies, like digital skills and eco-literacy, so not everybody is comfortable using them. This year, the fund has a specific focus on financial literacy.
If you have a cross-community project that focuses on removing barriers for adults with unmet literacy, digital literacy, or financial literacy needs, apply for the ALL Collaboration and Innovation Fund by Friday 7th February 2025.
Tipperary benefitted through various projects in the 2024 round, let’s do the same for 2025!
Full details and application form for the fund is available here: https://www.adultliteracyforlife.ie/fund/

Support For Communities: SMART Sustainable Village Plans
|
South Tipperary Development Company (STDC) are looking for expressions of interest from communities, who would welcome professional support in developing a future plan for their area, which will integrate social, economic, cultural and environmental elements in South Tipperary.
The programme will be led by experts from TUS, Community Engagement Partners and STDC and will engage with other important stakeholders such as the Local Authority.
The programme will involve working with a community steering group, upskilling them in SMART Sustainable Village Planning Skills and enabling them to draw up a plan for their own area / village, through analysing current assets and needs, community consultation, visioning for the future. The outcome of the 6 month programme will be a SMART Sustainable Plan for the area /village which can be used as a roadmap for future developments and funding applications.
A diverse Community Steering Group is a critical part of the plan-making process. The Steering Group should be representative of a broad range of existing community organisations. From experience, a group of between 6 and 10 should work well and be able to bring different perspectives to the process. If such a group already exists in the community e.g. a Community Council, then it would be suitable to provide the Steering Group. Otherwise, an existing well-established organisation can submit an expression of interest on the understanding that a broad community steering group will be established before the work begins.
Closing date is Wednesday 22nd January 2025 at 12 noon.
For an expression of interest form or an informal discussion please contact yvonne.doyle@tus.ie or SaraBourke@stdc.ie.
Participation is free and is supported by the LEADER Programme 2023-2027.
