Funding Opportunity for Social Enterprises
A new €1.6m fund to support social enterprises in Ireland has been established by Social Innovation Ireland (SIFI), in partnership with Tipperary County Council and all 31 Local Authorities across Ireland.
The Fund is financed by the Department of Rural and Community Development, from the Dormant Accounts Fund and IPB Insurance.
The fund is open for applications until March 28th, 2018 and the winners will be informed in June 2018

The closing date for draw down of approved grants is 30th. November, 2018 Grants cannot be drawn down without submission of valid receipts.

Aontas Festival –  One Step Up  

 As part of the Aontas Festival, running from 5th – 9th March, Nenagh library is delighted to have Brid Greenan, Information and Resource Officer from Aontas, give a presentation on the One Step Up programme on Tuesday 6th March at 6.45pm. One Step Up explains the different education and training options available to adults seeking to return to education. Brid is responsible for the management of this programme in Ireland and as such, is well placed to explain and advise on how to access it and get the best from it. For this reason, I would be obliged if you would display the attached notice on your notice boards for the general public and bring it to the attention of staff who might benefit from it eg Intreo caseworkers, National Learning Network centre staff, local community and voluntary groups and finally, ETBs
