Nominations for PPN Representatives

A number of boards and committees across the county are looking for PPN representatives.

These are:

  • Connecting for Life Implementation Steering Group
  • Comhairle na nÓg Steering Group
  • CYPSC (Children and Young Persons Services Committee)
  • South Tipperary Development Company
  • Tipperary Sport Partnership 
  • Tipperary Transport Coordination Committee
  • Tipperary Volunteer Centre

Please find information and nomination form for each of these boards or committees below.

Also to ensure PPN members have all the information in regards to being a PPN rep we have attached the following documents; Tipperary PPN Nomination Guidelines, Public Participation Network User Guide and Tipperary PPN Representative Charter. These documents will assist you if you are considering becoming a rep with the PPN and give you further incite into the role of the PPN.

Connecting for Life Implementation Steering Group 

South Tipperary Area – 1 Rep

Connecting for Life South Tipperary is the Action Plan to Prevent Suicide. This plan is based on Connecting for Life, Ireland’s National Strategy to Reduce Suicide.

Comhairle na nÓg Steering Group 

1 PPN Rep

Comhairle na nÓg are child and youth councils in the 31 local authorities of the country, which give children and young people the opportunity to be involved in the development of local services and policies.

Field Sports include Camogie, Gaelic Football, Hurling, Ladies Football, Ladies Soccer, Rugby, Soccer and Hockey.

2 PPN Reps

South Tipperary Development Company Limited is a Local Action Group that manages the following programmes and services in South Tipperary: Rural Development Programme (RDP) Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) Tús Programme, Rural Social Scheme (RSS), National Countryside Recreation Strategy (NCRS), Primary Health Care Programme for The Travelling Community (PHCP), Home Repairs Service,  The Incredible Years and Little Orchard Playschool, Ballylynch , Carrick-On-Suir.

The Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) is currently looking for one Community and Voluntary PPN Representative for their committee. Each Local Authority area has established a LCDC to develop, coordinate and implement  local and community development in an integrated way.
