Call for applications for young people to take part in the 2020 edition of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities’ The Bureau wishes to continue to build on the success of its “Rejuvenating politics” initiative and will continue to invite youth delegates to participate in the Congress sessions in 2020 and to create grass-roots projects back home. Through this initiative we aim to create a space for dialogue between the youth delegates and local and regional elected representatives and to enable young people (between 18 and 30 years old) to express their views on the issues being debated. I hope that in 2020 we will achieve a full quota of youth delegates (one per member State) so I count on you, as head of delegation, as well as all the members of the delegation, to raise awareness of this opportunity and distribute the link to the Congress’ call for applications (which I enclose here for your information: Call for applications) to all young people in your country who may be interested in taking part in the 2020 sessions, in accordance with the selection criteria. Please note, applicants should complete the online form by 3rd January 2020, applications will only be accepted via the official online form and the decision of the selection panel will be final.
